- Juliette
Gordon Low, nicknamed Daisy, was born on October 31, 1860.
- She
lived in Savannah, Georgia with her parents and her three sisters and two
brothers.
- When
Daisy was 13, she went to boarding school in Virginia after that she went to
another school in New York City called Charbonneau’s School
- When
she returned home from school her parents sent her to Europe
- There
she met her husband William Low nickname “Billow” however a few years
later Billow got sick and died.
- After
her husband died Daisy became very lonely so she return to England where she
met Sir Robert Baden-Powell who is the founder of Boy Scouts.
- Sir
Robert Baden-Powell introduced her to an organization called Girls Guides
where they teach worthwhile actives to young girls.
- Daisy
was so excited about Girls Guides she went back started her own Girl Guides
in Scotland, London and her home town Savannah in the United States.
- Juliette
Gordon Low died on January 17, 1927 in Savannah.
