The music department is pleased to offer some amazing summer camp scholarships for band and/or choir students.
Thanks to a generous donor, we have been gifted 2 full ride scholarships to the USD Summer Music Camp. This would be a week-long learning opportunity from July 14-19, 2024, in Vermillion, SD. The scholarship would pay for room and board, meals, workshops, transportation, a private lesson and possibly some camp swag. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn from professionals in the band and choir field and meet and make new friends from across a tri-state area! In addition, the KHS music department is also going to give 2 full ride (tuition only) scholarships to any summer music camp of choice. You will find some of the options on the back of the applications. We will also reward partial scholarships to deserving applicants beyond the four that receive full tuition. We want to help as many kids as possible!
The following terms and conditions apply for all scholarships:
To be eligible for these scholarships, your student must be in band or choir (currently) at KHS in grades 6-11. Your student must complete the application (attached and located on my website) to the best of their ability and turn it in to Mrs. Lebeda or Mrs. Rasmussen by April 30th. I would strongly encourage them to type their answers and have someone proofread it. Your student must remain in band or choir for the 2024-2025 school year.
