Congratulations to these Kimball & White Lake students for winning the local Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition. They will receive their awards on Tuesday, February 4 at the boys & girls basketball game in Kimball and now advance to the District Competition:

Build Your Base with Beef is a comprehensive sports nutrition program that utilizes beef as its premier protein. It strives to prepare athletes and their families for a successful sports season. This program provides a toolkit that contains ready-to-use material as well as resources that lead to overall success towards a healthful lifestyle, through a collaborative partnership between the South Dakota Beef Industry Council, Sanford Health, and the Sanford Sports Science Institute.

Congratulations to Kimber Rasmussen! She has been selected to sing the National Anthem at the State Gymnastics Meet in Watertown on February 14.
7th & 8th graders at Kimball School participate in 4 exploratory classes throughout the school year. These 4 classes are STEAM, Computers, FACS & Agriculture. This quarter, 8th graders are learning in the FACS room which involves cooking! This project was making Taco Pie.
On January 21, 2025, the KHS National Honor Society completed a service project called "Kram the Kanyon." Admission for the girls basketball game was a non-perishable item for the Kimball Food Pantry. All monetary donations were donated to Kimball Senior Citizens Center.
Those able to help with the collections were Graden Holan, Cylas Assman, Kimber Rasmussen & Shayda Ness. NHS members that helped with delivery to the Kimball Food Pantry were Cylas Assman, Iden Myers, Lindy Kiehn, Kimber Rasmussen, Shayda Ness, and Syndey Stahl. The NHS advisor is Rebecca Rasmussen.
The One Act cast is heading to State again! Also 5 members were awarded "Outstanding Actress" and they are Kate Hinson, Delilah Rasmussen, Charlee Bass, Kimber Rasmussen & Sami Pringle. Good luck at State!

Evangelyn Schultz sang in the SD Junior Honor Choir on January 18, 2025, in Rapid City. Evangelyn was selected via an audition process. She was placed in the Women's Choir that was directed by Stephanie Gregoire of Chicago, IL. The choir rehearsed for 2 days and then performed in concert with the Mixed Choir comprised of 7th, 8th, & 9th graders from across the state. The event is sponsored by SD American Choral Directors Association. Evangelyn attends Kimball Middle School and her vocal teacher is Rebecca Rasmussen.
Kimball School Hall of Fame Inductees
It is with an excited and proud conviction that the Kimball School Hall of Fame board will induct two individuals on February 7th , 2025. Leonard Thomas and Wayne Woodraska will be inducted into the Kimball School Hall of Fame. A special presentation for Leonard and Wayne will be between the double header basketball games approximately at 7:00pm. A reception will be in the school library for family and friends to reminisce and extend congratulations to Wayne and Leonard. Please make plans to join and celebrate our first two inductees!
