Congratulations to these singers who auditioned and were chosen to sing in the SD Elementary Honor Choir! They will perform at the Sioux Falls Convention Center on November 1, 2025. Those selected are Emma Lenz, Maya DeJong, Addyson Dorwart, Tyson Von Eye, Vonni Tyrrell, Allie Krier, and Paisley Kirsch.

The 1st Annual Kimball Water Festival was held on April 29. Over 100 students in grades 4 & 5 from 4 schools participated in a large variety of water education activities. A huge thank you to SD Association of Rural Water Systems for reaching out to Kimball School to host this educational event and to our volunteers that made the day a great success!

The Lezlie Blasius track meet that was scheduled for tomorrow is canceled due to the weather. Please mark the date for next years meet on your calendars. The date will be Thursday, May 14th, 2026.
Mr. Taylor's tech classes constructed this sign that is now at the entrance to the new learning center, multipurpose room and weight room.
Athletes and Parents: Please consider registering your track athlete (thrower) for the Circle of Champions throwing camp June 10-11th. At this camp, your child will learn shotput, discus, and javelin techniques used by throwers competing at the highest level. They will be coached by the best HS and Collegiate coaches in South Dakota. This is a camp for the athletes, but also a camp for spectators interested in learning more about the sport!
Busing to the camp will be provided. Group rate cost for the camp will be sent out later this week. Please let Coach Deffenbaugh know if you are interested, if you've registered, or if you are not able to attend.

Congratulations to Mallory Swanson! She received a $250 scholarship as a first-year teacher in the Teens as Teachers program through the South Dakota Youth Foundation.

Yesterday, the students and staff enjoyed fresh grilled burgers from a beef donated by Matt and Mardi Swanson and ice cream donated by Keileen Yeaton (Frosty King)! We are all excited for summer!

Much love, care and dedication were put into the senior quilts. The quilts are sewn from many ladies associated with the Kimball Protestant Parish and St. Margaret's Catholic Church. Seniors received these handmade quilts on May 1st during Senior Night. Thank you for your kind gesture to our seniors!
