KHS music students receiving solo superiors were: Evangelyn Schultz, Sami Pringle, Ally Geppert, Lizi Von Eye, Harley Piskule, Akela Davis & Delilah Rasmussen. Dawson Eimers and Evangelyn Schultz were selected to sing with the SD Junior Honor Choir in Rapid City on January 24, 2026. Dawson sang with the Women's choir under the direction of Dr. Angela Kasper. Evangelyn sang with the Mixed choir under the direction of Rober T. Gibson. Each choir has 7th, 8th and 9th graders from across the state that were selected by anonymous audition back in the fall. This event is sponsored by SD American Choral Director's Association. Both are students of Vocal Director, Mrs. Rebecca Rasmussen.
